I’m doing some protesting of my own tonight! Michigan Governor, Rick Snyder, has recently announced that he’s putting a cap on our film industry. This cap will STOP films from coming here. I am a big part of the industry here in Detroit, and this is horrible news for my career. I’m a designer on movies. I love my job. I’ve had so many opportunities because of the industry. This is the only reason why I stayed here in Michigan after graduation. It has created so many jobs, it has kept our young people here, it helps local business, it helps the economy, it’s reinvented Michigan! MILLIONS of dollars go into local business, hotels, transportation companies, local mom-and-pop shops, hardware stores, lumber yards, furniture stores, catering, etc etc etc! This is Michigan’s future! 

ANYONE in the Detroit area tonight, if you support our film industry and our economy, please come to our rally tonight - open to the public! The Michigan Film Industry town hall meeting is TONIGHT at the Laurel Park Manor (39000 Schoolcraft, Livonia, Michigan) at 7:30PM!
